5. Hello, I just bought this product. However, I'm just wondering, is it effective to take it through out the day? I heard that WPI is only effective after training cause it's fast absorbing. So does this mean that if I take it through out the day, it won't be as effective? I'm taking this after my training session, and about 3-4 times through out the day since I don't have time to cook up a chicken meal. Is this just as effective as the protein from chicken/beef/egg whites?

Thank you?

Question 11: Hi there, I was just wondering since this product contains over 4 grams of Glutamine per serving, would taking this product 3 times a day be sufficient in supplying me with the necessary amount of Glutamine needed? I weigh about 65 kg and workout about 4 times a week. Thanks? (Posted: 31st March, 2008)
Answer: Hi

My advice is to stick with the optimum whey.
In the product you get good amounts of Glutamine 4g per serve x 3 times a day= 12g.
The advice when taking only glutamine is 5 g before 5 g after training, so its works out to be similar only that you get more amino acid and other muscle improvements in the protein powder.
So answer you question (yes) you get your daily amount of glutamine no problem, if taking 3 times a day.

Good luck!!

Question 12: I take protien every 3 hours, and as of late, even at night. I havn't been doing this for very long so its been hard to gauge the results. Do you think this is wise? At first i thought I may be interrrupting my sleep, but after a little reading I learned that sleep is cyclic, and cycles last about 90-120 mins (according to the source), so waking every three hours should be fine once my body has learned to regulate its cycles according to each 3hr sleep period. any thoughts????? (Posted: 8th April, 2008)
Answer: Yes, however your sleep patterns should be descending in relation to consciousness. The amino acid arginine can have very pronounced effects on sleep patterns...in fact you can set your watch to the first cycle as you wake up feeling fully awake and ready to get up after exactly 90 minutes. However..in less than 5 minutes you are back to sleep again and should not wake till morning. The cycle and depth of consciousness does continue but gets deeper with no more waking moments.

Your protein may be having this effect, but you should feel refreshed when you wake up. Anything else could be an allergic reaction to the lactose, flavours etc.

Question 13: How does this compare to the new Muscle Milk? (Posted: 10th April, 2008)
Answer: Hi

This two products is a bit different from each other, both in quantatis of (G) in protein and (G) in carbohydrate but also the formula of the protein eg.% of Wpi and Wpc, the added ingredients is also different that are listed, so it hard to say which is best, its was suit you best for your own preferences and cost.

Optimum has been around longer and have given many happy results to ouer customer's, we have just starting stocking CYTO sport muscle milk and haven't had any one coming back for feedback, due to its new in the shop,
having said that its have a good structure of ingredients and good taste,
The proof is in the pudding.

Good luck!!!

(Posted: 25th August, 2008)
Answer: The stack you are on is good, I would just watch the carbohydrates during the day and and perhaps take one scoop with the true mass after your workout as post shake, instead of the optimum. The plasma jet and gakic is a great stack.

Question 18: Hey just wandering is optimum whey gold standard protein good for building muscle size or am i better with going to a weight gainer protein?? thanx? (Posted: 16th Sept, 2008)
Answer: Much depends on your build, and your diet. Protein builds muscle but if your energy requirements are not met your body will use protein to replace lost glycogen( stored energy). Therefore taking an amount of carbs with your protein, especially around training times is a good idea. All that needs to be understood...is how much YOUR body needs.

(Posted: 19th Sept, 2008)
Answer: Go for a lean WPI or WPC with no extra carbs if looking to use the protein throughout the day (in between meals etc) and simply add some carbs (like banana's) to your post workout shake.

If you are only intending to use your shake before and or directly after training, then go for a 50/50 blend of protein to carbs (e.g. Maximus, Awesome Mass)

Question 21: Hi, i was wondering i want to put on weight, but i want a protein that i can have 2-3 times daily and will last for a while. if i take this and add carbo plex, will that have similar affect as some of the weight gain products?
thanks?
(Posted: 1st Oct, 2008)
Answer: Yes you can definitely do it that, its actually good, you can regulate your intake of carbohydrates better, just remember to add some good fats in to your shake i would recommend MCT oils from syn-tec.

Question 22: Hi, im looking to put on weight and was thinking of taking this with carbo plex to add to the carb amt per serve. will this have a similar affect to a proper weight gainer if taken 2-3 times a day?
thanks?
(Posted: 6th Oct, 2008)
Answer: It will workout to be nearly the same as a weight gainer. The difference between doing it that way and going with a weight gainer, is that most weight gain powders have a higher sugar content and the protein is normally a combination between WPI,WPC and Cassine Protein so you are getting a constant protein release between meals. Gold standard is more WPI based meaning the protein is fast acting.

Answer: Optimum Gold Whey in the large bags contain 4704g in both
Vanilla and Strawberry which contain 160 serves each with a serving size of 29.4g. The Chocolate bag is 4712g and contains 155 serves of 30.4g.

Question 27: Hi, just following up on Question 24. Regardless of the flavour, one full scoop of the scoop provided in the bag is one serving? Correct?
Also i have just finished a bag of the double rich chocolate flavour and i am thinking of trying the strawberry, my question is, Does it mix well?
(Posted: 17th Feb, 2009)
Answer: Some products depending on flavour will be of more volume than other flavours because some are requiring more added flavour to give it that certain taste. So in realistically depending on flavour, you may need a bigger serve to get the same amount of protein. Even though the label may not say that.
It will mix just the same.

USP Labs are currently going through the licensing process with all of their products, so we don't have an exact eta sorry. Hopefully it will be within the next two months but we can't say for sure.
If you are looking for another thermogenic, our most popular sellers are Thermalene Extreme by Syn-Tec, PyrogenX by Horleys or Hydroxycut Hardcore.

Question 31: Can hydroxycut max be used with fat stop capsules? (Posted: 28th Oct, 2009)
Answer: HI - it can but you are probably just wasting your money as they are both designed to do the same thing. Which in turn doesnt mean you will those "more". If you are wanting to lose body fat and already have the fat stop we would recommend stacking the D-toxilean or Acetyl L-carnitine as thats what we all do here for a great fat loss combo.
Hope this helps...

Question 33: Can A-bomb,T-bomb,Leukic,Gakic, Hydrocycut be taken all together? (Posted: 2nd Dec, 2009)
Answer: Hi. It is fine for these products to be taken together. A-Bomb and Leukic are both Anabolic activators. So I wouldn’t double up on this supplement. It would be fine to take T-Bomb, A-Bomb, Gakic and Hydroxycut together. Hydroxycut is a thermogenic, so as long as your water intake is kept up it should be fine.

Question 34: Hi, just wondering how many times a day and when during the day should i take gold standard? Im 5'10 and weigh 90kgs? (Posted: 1st March, 2010)
Answer: I would recommend having it 3 times a day once with breakfast, again after training and lastly before bed. It will benefit taking this 3 times a day but this product is strictly a WPI which means it breaks down very quickly so something with a blend of slow and fast release would be more ideal before bed and at breakfast but post workout what you have is fine.

Question 35: Hi, i am wondering if i could stack pro nos by mri with the gold standard? eg- take pro nos in the morning and before bed, and the gold standard post workout? (Posted: 2nd March, 2010)
Answer: Hi. Pro Nos is a Multi Fractioned Whey Isolate - It is faster up taking than a WPI and is probably one of the highest regarded proteins on the market. I wouldn't recommend stacking it with Gold Standard as they are both Fast release proteins. If i could make a suggestion i would decide which one out of the 2 you would like to use and i would suggest you take a Slow/Sustained release blend for morning and bedtime shake. I suggest Syntecs SP3. Hope this helps.
